Margaret Madeline Chase Smith (December 14, 1897 – May 29, 1995)[1] was an American politician. She served as a U.S Representative (1940-1949) and a U.S. Senator (1949-1973) from Maine. She was the first woman to serve in both houses of the United States Congress, and the first woman to represent Maine in either. Smith was an unsuccessful candidate in the 1964 presidential election, but was the first woman to be placed in nomination for the presidency at a major party's convention

This woman is an African-American that is "passing" as White...I can see it in her features and in her essence...As an African-American, I can always tell one of my own, no matter how light. I'll do the research and get back to you..., but its' undeniable...and common.
