The 1924 Winter Olympics, officially known as the I Olympic Winter Games, were held at the foot of Mont Blanc in Chamonix, and Haute-Savoie, France between January 25 and February 5, 1924.

This image (or other media file) is in the public domain because its copyright has expired. This applies to Australia, the European Union and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 70 years.

This file is also in the public domain in countries that figure copyright from the date of death of the artist (post mortem auctoris in this case Auguste Matisse (1866 – 1931) and that most commonly runs for a period of 50 to 70 years from December 31 of that year. 


This work is in the public domain in the United States because it was first published outside the United States (and not published in the U.S. within 30 days) and it was first published before 1978 without complying with U.S. copyright formalities or after 1978 without copyright notice and it was in the public domain in its home country on the URAA date (January 1, 1996 for most countries).
