Seinfeld Reality Tour Monk's Cafe Tom's Restaurant, Monk's Café is the coffee shop from Seinfeld. Tom's Restaurant is on the north east corner of West 112th Street and Broadway, near Columbia University on Manhattan's Upper West Side and is often shown on the show as the exterior of Monk's. Monk's is the favorite hangout for Jerry and his friends, George Costanza, Elaine Benes and Cosmo Kramer. The coffee shop is almost always shot so that "Tom's" in the sign on the Broadway side is not visible. Tom's Restaurant was the locale of Suzanne Vega's 1987 song "Tom's Diner".
